Multi-Tiered System of Supports

Kent City High School is in the process of implementing a building-wide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).  The aim of this effort is to increase student achievement by reinforcing behaviors that create positive learning environments and to provide additional support to students who struggle to display these behaviors.  Formally, this process is known as Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).

The tiered system is meant to increase the level of intervention for students who show that they are struggling to be successful without it.
