ATTENTION KENT CITY COMMUNITY MEMBERS: We have teamed up with the YMCA to offer some classes right here in Kent City! Some classes have already taken place and have been very successful! A new schedule of classes starting in mid-April has been posted! Click on the YMCA logo below to download a registration form! The Cardio Class scheduled to start July 13th has been canceled due to lack of participants. Zumba is still on though so join us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:15pm!

All About Learning S.T.E.M. Based Learning Classes This summer Kent City will be hosting classes through "All About Learning." August 17, 19, 24, and 26, Video Game Making will be offered for students from age 10 through adults from 3:00-5:00pm in the Middle School Computer Lab. Participants will learn how to control characters, objects, and outcomes in their own video game. Each class is $50.00. For more details click HERE for a video Game Making form. All forms must be turned in by August 6th! DO YOU WANT TO DANCE THIS SUMMER? Kimberly Straub, GVSU graduate, dancer and gymnast, will be teaching summer beginning dance classes for students in grades K-8. Classes will be held in the Elementary Cafeteria on five consecutive Thursdays starting July 15th. The cost is $20 per student. Click on the dancer to download a sign up form! Kent City will be offering a Summer Science Fun Camp this summer! this interactive, hands-on camp will give students going into grades 6-8th a chance to retain previously learned middle school science standards, reinforce and go further in depth with standards they have already covered, and also get a jump start on science standards that they will be introduced to in the next school year. I have developed a community goal for us to walk/run 6,427 miles (the distance from Kent City to Iraq) by the end of the school year! Click on the shoe link on the left in order to download forms with more information! MILES UPDATE (1-25-10): We have 2610.5 miles so far! Way to go! Thanks to Mr. Oxford's Middle School Classes for walking over 600 miles this week!
