Who is Kent City Community Schools?  Eagle Pride Kent City Community Schools continually pursues excellence in both intellectual and character development. In the book “Good to Great” Jim Collins explains that research into companies that made the transition from good to great indicates a few common factors. Two of the primary factors were a fanatical adherence to core ideas and collaborative leadership focused on specific data or results. Our core ideas include focused instruction on a core curriculum and meeting the needs of all students. To ensure that all students are successful in learning the core curriculum, we are implementing a system to provide individualized support strategies to each student who is not meeting the expectations of core curriculum. We intend to demonstrate a fanatical adherence to the core idea that all children can learn the core curriculum, and that we can provide support or intervention to ensure that each student is successful.  Focused on Writing Name recognition, trust, respect, and positive relationships are hallmarks of our learning environment and serve as the foundation for developing self-esteem, along with respecting the dignity and self-worth of each individual. Career preparation, academic achievement, character development, life skills, and job readiness skills are instilled in students as the basis for lifelong education and effective living in the 21st century.
We provide students with a safe environment where they are engaged in a challenging curriculum and held accountable for meeting high expectations. We take great pride in providing our students with a wide variety of learning opportunities. Our staff continues to strive to provide our students with opportunities to be enrolled in more challenging courses. We are proud of our students and their efforts to meet high expectations.  Focused on Reading Our caring staff provides one-on-one attention for students, nurtures student success, and instills in students a love of learning. We are very proud of our staff, many of whom work a tremendous number of hours to provide your child with excellent learning opportunities. It is through the continued efforts of students, teachers, and parents that we are able to provide the best possible educational experience for our children. We have modern facilities with integrated technology, an excellent learning environment, and beautiful athletic facilities. Kent City Community Schools is an asset to the community and a responsible steward of taxpayers’ investment in the schools.
